Learn to recognize and choose plastic, how to treat it and how it is transform into some beautiful and useful things. Become more aware of your choices as a customer. Plastic is well known worldwide used material which was spreaded across the globe some 165 years ago. By now it is crystal clear how big problem it is. Recycling is now recognised as a good method to fight against the plastic pollution. That's why we want to boost it by showing you, how it really works. During our class, you'll discover a wide range of important information about different type of plastic and why some are "better" than others. Also we will show you how injection molding works and you'll have closer look at melted plastic from our injection machine. By the end of the class, you'll have all the knowledge you need to consciously treat your home plastic waste and how you could prepare it for donation to be recycled locally in local Precious Plastic Workspace. Maximum class size 12. Suitable for individuals, groups and corporate 'days out' even in lockdown. What you'll learn: - How to recognise types of plastic. - How to prepare it for clean and easy recycling process (it's a lot easier once you know a few simple hints). - Tips and tricks how to use less plastic or even go zero waste. - A brief history of plastic and how it is treated by big companies By the end of the class: - You'll be able to recognise types of plastics and to limit it. - After the class, you may wish to change your current habits by sorting your waste in more advanced way or limit the amount of plastic when doing groceries. - Join our private Facebook group where we and our community is chatting about various topics considering plastic pollution, tips and tricks etc. Please check that your camera is working on Zoom before the class and that your compass can draw a circle without slipping. A 90-minute online live class for a group (maximum 12 participants). What you will need? Please prepare some plastic waste (bottles, caps, foils) so we could identify and analyze.
